Presently the Town host two most famous academic and research Universities in Nigeria, Landmark University and Moses Orimolade University (still under construction). Omu Aran has registered Federal government girls secondary school and state Government Secondary school thus representing the only Yoruba town in Nigeria with girls only FGGSS and and boys only GSS.
In term of Tourist, the town is famous for several traditional culture, heritage’s, It is also a place with international (4 and 5 star) hotels that can host more than 200 guest per night and surounded with big town like Isin, Oke Ero.Ekiti. Omu-Aran is ofcourse a trailblazer of development to Kwara State, and Nigeria
